Fierce

Thursday morning we headed up to T-town to work on our house. We met Sherry and Alan at the house. Friday we started cleaning and moving Josh's stuff so we could begin working. Shannon came by and took the girls to Wal-mart which was very helpful. Later that night, Sherry and Alan gone, my parents and brother and nephew came to help out with the heavy lifting. We walked the house and talked about what needed to be done. Matt, my brother, went for it and started demo-ing the bathroom. In just 2 and a half hours he had the vanity, tile wall and tile floor removed. It was amazing. Saturday was crazy; many people came up from Oklahoma City to help out. Roll call: Bruce and Emilie, Nicki and Kris. In this picture, M and I are routing some base boards. Matt taught us how to use it and we got started. It was pretty cool.
By the time we left Sunday night we had gotten so much accomplished. All three bedrooms were painted and cleaned, the kitchen countertop was removed and tiling started, the fridge cleaned (thanks to mom!) and the carpet in the dinning room removed to reveal some ok wood flooring. In the bathroom Matt ripped out all the tile and removed the vanity and toilet, so on Sunday he had the new vanity and sink in place, the surround for the tub put up and the tiles put down with some grout in. It already looked great. And lets not forget all the work done in the back yard: Kris and Josh removed the deck and Aaron and Owen removed all the tree limbs and bricks from the ground. All in all it was an amazing weekend. It went by so fast that I barely had time to complain about my feet hurting.
I just want to thank everyone who went to Tulsa to help with the house. Everything you did made a big impact on how the house looks. Don't forget to keep praying that God will send the right buyers for our house -- soon. Aaron and I will be heading back to Tulsa this Saturday to finish up some things, picking out carpet and picking a realtor. I will post an update next week. Thanks again for all your support!
